Today, Cub Scout Pack 707 joined forces with Troop 742 to assist the American Legion Post 166 in Goose Creek for a meaningful flag retirement ceremony. This ceremony was held to properly retire flags that have served their time, symbolizing respect and honor for our nation.

We had a great turnout with six Cub Scouts from Pack 707 and five scouts from Troop 742 in attendance. The scouts were incredibly attentive and respectful, fully embracing the responsibility of helping with this important task.

The event was an excellent opportunity for the Scouts to learn about the significance of the flag retirement tradition while playing an active role in this ceremonial process. By partnering with the American Legion, our Scouts were able to see firsthand how their participation contributes to the service and respect for our country’s flag.

We are proud of how well our Scouts handled their duties and the respect they showed during the event. A big thank you to the American Legion Post 166 for allowing us to be part of this important tradition!

Stay tuned for more events where our Scouts continue to serve their community with dedication and pride!
