Pack 742 hosted an epic summer cookout and game truck party to celebrate National Video Game Day, and it was a night to remember!

Scouts and their families enjoyed a fully-loaded mobile game truck featuring modern consoles, multiplayer favorites, and an immersive VR station. Game highlights included Minecraft, Smash Brothers, WWE, and some truly epic Mario Kart battles.

While the truck brought the excitement, our leaders and committee members fired up the grills and served a classic summer feast — hamburgers, hot dogs, assorted chips, and cold drinks. And of course, there was plenty of bug juice on hand… if you know, you know.

We were also excited to welcome one new family with two potential Scouts — a Tiger and a Bear — who jumped right in and are already looking forward to the next event!

In addition to the game truck, Scouts enjoyed yard games like cornhole, life-size Connect 4, and giant Tetris blocks. And as always at St. George’s, the playground was lit with excitement.

The entire Pack was in attendance, including a gang of Dragon Scouts who brought their signature spirit and had just as much fun as the Cubs.

You could say the night was a high-score moment for Pack 742.

Good food, great games, and even better company — that’s a win screen if we’ve ever seen one.
