This weekend, Cub Scout Pack 707 had an incredible adventure at Marrington Plantation! Four scouts, two den chiefs, and seven dedicated adults laced up their hiking boots and embarked on a scenic 3.5-mile hike through the beautiful trails.
Our group consisted of one Wolf, two Bears, and one Arrow of Light scout, each eager to explore the outdoors. Along the way, we reinforced our commitment to nature by discussing the Leave No Trace Principles and the Outdoor Code—an essential part of responsible scouting and outdoor ethics.
To add a fun twist to our hike, we played the Alphabet Game, challenging ourselves to find items along the trail that started with each letter of the alphabet. From acorns to zippy birds, our scouts showed keen observation skills and creativity!
The hike was not only a great physical challenge but also an opportunity to bond as a pack, learn, and enjoy the wonders of nature. The scouts displayed excellent teamwork and respect for the environment, making this hike a memorable success.
We’re proud of our scouts for their enthusiasm and dedication to learning and living the principles of Scouting. Stay tuned for more exciting adventures with Pack 707!
